Now you are probably wondering what plumicosis is. Very simple: a cross between plum and apricot that tastes great. Read here how this is grown.

Again and again we have recently been supplied with mixed fruit plants (e.g. white pineapple strawberries, star apple) from gardening stores, which reveal very special taste experiences to us. This also includes the plum apricot, which the breeder Baldur-Garten also called Pflaumikose referred to as.
Plum moss is very rich in vitamins
Plumikose is a particularly juicy plum that comes with the sweet taste of apricot. Why the vitamin-rich fruit is particularly popular with children and is also ideal as a pie fruit.
So just try the fruit. If you like it too, you can grow the plum moss yourself. The great thing: due to the relatively low stature height of approx. 3 meters, the plum apricot can be easily planted even in small gardens and also in front gardens. We will now explain what you should pay attention to when planting here.
Plumikose - Cultivation & care of the delicious mixed fruit
Cultivation:
The hardy plum apricot trees are usually already offered as perennial plants, since they only bear their fruit in late summer from the age of three.
" Tip:
If you use a small plant in the garden, you have to remove all the lower side shoots again and again in the first few years until a stem has formed.
The plum apricot prefers a location that is as sunny as possible (even a minimally partially shaded location is good) with nutrient-rich, as far as possible loamy and / or humus-rich soil. On the other hand, plumicosis only grows poorly on sandy soils. Why at such a location a large excavation has to take place, which is filled with fresh humus and in which the sapling can then be planted.
Maintenance:
The robust plum apricots are extremely easy to maintain and only require conventional fertilizers. Ideally, you should work in fresh compost around the plant stem every year after harvesting.
" Tip:
It is best to mix the compost with horn shavings, as this significantly strengthens the nutrient supply for the tree.
You also have to make sure that the roots are always moist - but not wet. The moisture is particularly important during the flowering phase, but also during fruit formation.
